GLU is the solo project of Michael Shuman - bassist of Queens of the Stone Age and founder of Mini Mansions - where esoteric melodies collide with moody beats and a dynamic, genre-defying flow. Rooted in Los Angeles but resistant to category, GLU melds punk instinct with hip-hop architecture, synthesizers, and introspective lyricism to create something entirely his own - drawing natural comparisons to Jamiroquai, Gorillaz, and Mac Miller. Road-tested on tours with Phantogram and Miles Kane and backed by millions of streams, Netflix and MLB syncs, GLU has steadily built a reputation as one of rock's most adventurous solo voices. Now he returns with the PONY BOY EP — four tracks that distil the nostalgic, endless-summer spirit of Southern California into his most focused and cinematic work yet. Featuring "Crush," "Pony Boy," "Bombs Below," and "LA" with actress and singer Lily James, the EP is warm, restless, and entirely his own.
